Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has assured residents that the recent security challenges in Ondo State will soon be brought under control as his administration intensifies efforts to safeguard lives and property.
The Governor gave the assurance during the induction ceremony of 500 newly recruited officers into the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps.
In the past few months, Ondo State has witnessed pockets of security challenges, particularly the rising incidents of kidnapping.
To address these concerns, the State government has inducted 500 newly recruited Amotekun officers to complement the efforts of the security agencies in tackling criminal activities across the state.
The induction follows months of rigorous physical and mental training for the operatives.
Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, charged the new officers to maintain discipline, uphold professionalism, and work closely with conventional security agencies to ensure a safer Ondo State.
