Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has confirmed the gruesome murder of 58-year-old mother of eight, Aishatu Abdullahi in Jekadafari ward of the state capital. He strongly condemns the killing describing it as a mindless act.
In a statement signed by the Director-General of Press Affairs in Government House, Ismailia Missilli, the Governor directed the Police and other relevant security agencies in the state to mobilise investigative assets and ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous act are brought to justice.
He vowed that Gombe State, under his watch holds a steadfast commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all its citizens. “We have a zero-tolerance policy towards criminal activities, and this incident only strengthens our resolve to uphold the peace and security that our state is known for.

Governor Yahaya also conveyed the state government’s condolence to the family of the slain mother adding that he would ensure justice is done as soon as possible
The Governor thus calls on the people of the state to remain calm and vigilant in the face of any threat to collective security, vowing that Gombe State will not waver in its commitment to preserving the peace and tranquility that it holds so dear.
