The Kaduna State Government has confirmed that over the past six months, more than 300 kidnapped victims have been rescued through a non-kinetic approach.

Governor Uba Sani made this known while presenting 59 rescued victims at the Government House in Kaduna.

The freed victims—comprising men, women, and children—were abducted from four Local Government Areas: Kajuru, Kauru, Kaura, and Kachia.

Since their rescue in February, facilitated by the Office of the National Security Adviser, they have been under the care of the Kaduna State government, receiving medical treatment and psychosocial support.

One of the victims remains hospitalized and is still receiving treatment.

Governor Uba Sani emphasised that the Kaduna Model has established a structured approach to tackling insecurity in the state.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.

The Governor pledged full support for the rescued victims, assuring them of assistance in any way necessary.

He also reiterated that the state government has zero tolerance for individuals who attempt to politicise insecurity.
