Oseze however said the State Government after compiling the names of the retirees since the creation of the State has begun payment in phases beginning with those who retired more than 10 years ago. The Director-General said the gesture will assist the retirees to start profitable ventures so they could cater for their families.
Some of the beneficiaries commended Governor Sule admitting that the payment came as a surprise to them due to the long delay.
