The Kebbi State Government says no fewer than 6,000 women are to receive N50,000 each under the Federal Government’s Enterprises and Empowerment Programme.
The empowerment programme which is meant to alleviate poverty amongst women is being facilitated by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
Commissioner for Humanitarian and Empowerment in Kebbi State, Muhammad Hamidu-Jarkuka made this known during an interactive session with newsmen in Birninkebbi.

He said the money would be disbursed as soft loans with zero interest to boost business enterprises, particularly among women.
According to him, the team visited markets in all the areas that would benefit from the programme, including Kamba, Zuru and Bunza Local Government Areas, adding that each of the three LGAs represents a senatorial district in Kebbi State.
