The Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, NIDCom has confirmed that 50 Nigerians stranded in Pakistan have been evacuated to Abuja, the nation’s capital. The evacuees arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on Friday at about 1.45 am aboard Tarco Air.

They have already proceeded on 14-day self-isolation and would be tested for Covid-19 within the next 72 hours. This is in compliance with the new protocols issued by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.

Meanwhile, 15 other Nigerians who registered for evacuation with the Nigerian Missions in France, Germany, Belgium, Holland and Estonia are also on their way home.

All the 15 evacuees left the French capital Paris on board Air France flight and are expected to land at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos on Friday.
