The Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has commended the Federal Government for its recent decision to give States a fresh loan of 18 billion naira worth as financial support.
Governor Ortom who made the commendation in Makurdi the state capital, says he will meet with his council to decide which areas to expend the said loan in the interest of the entire State.
The news of a fresh loan to State’s to upset some of their liability was pretty cheering to the Benue State Governor.

The sensational issue of the electoral act ammendment bill with particular reference to the direct primaries for selection of candidates for political parties was again met with some resistance from the chief executive.
Governor Ortom gave an update on the State Government accounts recently frozen due to litigations expressing hope that the sanction will be lifted in due course.
He maintained his commitment to partner with security forces to totally eradicate crime in the State.
