7 suspects accused of abducting children from Kano to the eastern part of Nigeria as domestic house helps have been arraigned before the State High Court by the Attorney General of the state.
The syndicate consists of 5 females and 2 males.
They were arraigned on 38 count charges of kidnapping and illegal abduction of the children.
Hearing was stalled momentarily for about 30 minutes after one of the defendants, Obere Ogbono said she had no lawyer and cannot understand English.

The first defendant Paul Oneh, pleaded guilty to all the 38 count charges, which are punishable under section 97, 273 and 277 of the Penal Code.
The other five defendants however, pleaded not guilty.
