Eight School children have been rescued from a ghastly motor accident in Lokoja the Kogi State capital.
The Kogi State Security Adviser, retired Commodore Jerry Omodara, who was at the scene of the accident confirmed that no life was lost and 8 of the pupils were successfully rescued.
Eyewitnesses told ait.live that the pupils from the Kingdom Heritage Nursery and Primary School, Lokoja were returning home from school when the incident occurred on Thursday at the popular Lokongoma market in Lokoja.
It was gathered that a heavy duty truck conveying a container load fell on two smaller vehicles which later trapped the children, but the school pupils were rescued through the combined efforts of the Nigeria Police, Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), and other relevant agencies.
