Adamawa state government and security forces have forestalled what would have been a repeat of the 2020 Endsars protest where warehouses containing food items were broken and foodstuffs carted away.
This is because unprecedented crowds of youths made attempts to break some warehouses in the state in search of food.
The rowdy youths who approached respective warehouses and attempted to break them in search of food items were heard chanting that food is no more affordable to the larger percentage of Nigerians hence they want to take it by force.

The Youths in their thousands including females dared the law to illegally cart away the foodstuffs and throw the state in a situation of disorder but for the swift interventions of the Adamawa state government and the security agencies.
Some of the warehouses attacked include the state central stores of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, where damage was done and property in their large values were carted away before the arrival of law enforcement officers.
Adamawa state Governor represented by deputy Kaletapwa Farauta alongside state officials and heads of security in the state monitored the situation.

She condemned the act and called on the youth to channel their energy to useful ventures rather than engaging in destructive activities.
In some cases, there were faceoffs between the security and some of the rampaging youths as gunshots were heard in some cases but the Commissioner of Police in the state said, there were no casualties but warned perpetrators to desist from such acts or face the wrath of the law.

He announced that 83 persons have been arrested and are helping the police in investigations
The 24-hour curfew earlier imposed on the state by the Government has been reviewed to now take effect from 6 in the morning to 6 in the evening.
