The Federal Government has shut down a Chinese-owned supermarket in Jabi District of Abuja, the nation’s capital over fears of the deadly Coronavirus disease.
Director-General of the Federal Competitions and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC, Babatunde Irukera confirmed the development to AIT in a telephone conversation.
He says the action was taken following the discovery of seafood and animals imported illegally from china in panda supermarket.
Irukera promised that the commission is joining hands with other related agencies to continue the regulatory activities until the situation is under control.
