The Police in Ondo State have confirmed the arrest of three suspects in connection with the abduction of an Islamic cleric, Alli Ibrahim Bodunde, in Uso community, Owo Local Government area of the state.
The 67-year-old Chief Imam was recently kidnapped on his farm located at Asolo camp by Gunmen numbering about three.
Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the state police spokesperson, while parading the suspects on Tuesday at the Command’s headquarters in Akure, said they were apprehended in different locations within the Community.

Meanwhile, the rescued victim who spoke off camera confirmed that a ransom of 2 million naira was paid before he regained his freedom.
The command concluded that the suspects will soon be charged to court after the conclusion of the investigations.
