President Bola Tinubu met with the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday.
Although details of the meeting were not made public, it was gathered that it was not unconnected with economic and security developments in Enugu State.
Governor Mbah recently expressed his vision to transform Enugu from a public sector to a private sector -driven economy and also raise the state’s GDP from the present $4.4 billion to $30 billion through private sector investment.
He has equally expressed the readiness of his administration to collaborate with the federal government and international agencies.

Mbah met with the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Shubham Chaudhuri on Wednesday at the Bank’s country office in Abuja and equally participated in the National Economic Council, NEC, meeting chaired by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima on Thursday.
The last time the Enugu state governor visited the President, he discussed the issue of the detention of the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu by the Department of State Services, DSS.
