Nigeria President Bola Ahmed Tunubu says his administration will continue to prioritize Educational development through provision of basic infrastructure and facilities across the nation’s Higher Institutions of Learning.
He stated this at the inauguration of various teaching and learning facilities as well as newly constructed students’ hostels at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University and Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi.
The project was executed by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund under 2017-2020 Special Intervention Programme.
Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University and Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi are the two tertiary institutions that benefited from the multi-million naira TETFund projects which include Students hostels, Laboratories, lecture hall, offices among others.
Commissioning the projects, president Bola Ahmed Tunubu represented by the minister of foreign affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tugar said the federal government would continue to provide all the necessary support to enable the country’s educational institutions compete favourably with their counterparts globally to enhance research and provision of quality education.

The representative of TETFund, Dr Salihu Bakare said the fund is committed to delivering its mandate, especially in the provision of infrastructure aimed at making the institutions more conducive for teaching and learning.
In their separate remarks, heads of the benefiting institutions appreciated the federal government for the intervention.
They however enjoined the lecturers as well as the students to take full advantage of the facilities provided to achieve their desired objectives.
