The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has urged the Ekiti State Governor to consider using locals to complement and support security agencies in curbing the menace of criminality in the State.
A Statement by the spokeperson, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau says the CDS, said this when he received the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on a courtesy visit to the Defence Headquarters.

General Musa further harped on the need for the country to have a comprehensive data base of visitors in and out of the nation.
This according to him will help the security agencies to keep tab and monitor situations in case of any infringement.
The Governor who was accompanied on the visit by the Senate leader, Senator Opayemi Bamidele and other top government functionaries, commended the Armed Forces of Nigeria, for keeping Nigeria safe and indivisible.
The Governor noted that the situation in the country would have been worse without the intervention and contributions of the Military.
Governor Oyebanji also briefed the CDS on the unfortunate recent killings of traditional rulers in the State,, while seeking for more security presence to avert further occurrences.
