The meeting between the federal government and organised Labour on petrol pump and electricity tarrif has adjourned sitting for three weeks to enable labour study the report of two technical committees.
While the technical committee chaired by Minister of state for labour festus Keyamo submitted an interim report, the PMS Pricing framework committee headed by Onoche Anyoku submitted a completed report.

Part of the recommendations of the PMS pricing framework committee include the urgent need for government to direct the National Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the Nigerian Ports Authority NPA to begin collecting charges in Naira instead of foreign currency.
The committee also urged government to allow for uniformity in exchange rates for importation while it also blamed continuous importation of petrol for the frequent price movements
Secretary of the technical sub committee on electricity, special assistant to President Buhari on infrastructure, Ahmed Zakari said the committee will meet on Wednesday to continue its assignment, but was quick to highlight inadequate energy supply as the major cause of fluctuating tariffs
Secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha, Labour Minister, Chris Ngige and Minister of state for petroleum, Timipreye Sylva assured organised labour of government’s commitment to policies that will better the lot of the masses.
Organized labour was represented by the president of the Nigeria labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba and his Trade Union Congress counterpart, Quadri Olaleye
