Muslim faithful in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria joined their counterparts all over the world to observe the end of the 30-day fast where special prayers were offered for a successful completion of Ramadan.
At the Dodan Barracks Prayer Ground Obalende, the former seat of power during military dictatorship, many Muslim faithful including top politicians including present and former political office holders converged for Eid-el Fitri prayers.
Chief Imman of Lagos State, Suleiman Abou Nolla in his sermon called on governments at all levels to ease the burden on the people by distributing palliatives following the hardship faced in the country. He also tasked Muslim faithful to live in peace with their neighbours as the unity of the country is key.

The Chief Iman called on President Bola Tinubu who was one of the worshippers to address the security challenge faced in some parts of the country for good.
The President who responded through the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Femi Hamzat commended the Muslim faithful for successful completion of the 30-day Ramadan fast.
He called on them to show empathy and help to the needy.
