Anglo Nigerian Heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua has ‘called out’ opponent, Tyson Fury a fraud and a letdown to boxing as the undefeated WBC champion may decide to pursue his rematch with American Deontay Wilder instead of an already fixed battle between the British duo in the Middle East.
Taking to his Twitter page, the Watford born fighter who is not known for trash-talking on social media in an apparent tone of disappointment over the potential calling off of the August 14 bout between both Britons in Saudi Arabia, accused his rival of deceiving boxing fans and using his name (Joshua) to seek clout.
Boxing fans who desire to see the WBA, IBF, and WBO Champion Joshua go against Fury might have to wait a while as Wilder and Fury have been engaged in an arbitration court battle over the honouring of a clause in the rematch between both fighters in their February 2020 clash which Fury won via technical knock out.
Fury abandoned what would have been a trilogy between both distinguished heavyweights after Wilder made some wild accusations about the champion cheating in the fight which led to his first professional defeat.

A few days after Joshua vs Fury fight date was announced, Wilder won his right to the trilogy against Fury latest September 15 this year, which has placed the “almost a done deal” Saudi Arabia undisputed bout in jeopardy, and unless the duo of Joshua and Fury cough out $10million as compensation to the American, the highly anticipated showdown is all but postponed.
Joshua will be left to fight Ukrainian ‘elusive’ fighter, Oleksandr Usyk and hopes Fury avoids defeat to Wilder for their undisputed clash to take place tentatively in December 2021.
Meanwhile, in a swift reaction to Joshua’s tweet, Fury hit back at the two-time heavyweight champion, using uncomplimentary and unprintable words to respond to the tweet. He also accused Joshua and his camp of being aware of the Arbitration case, whose verdict was imminent despite their ongoing negotiations.
Since Fury’s reaction, the duo has been involved in a tirade that is uncharacteristic of the British boxer with Nigerian heritage.
