Report from Brinin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital in North West Nigeria indicate that only a few persons showed up on the first day of the 10-days scheduled nationwide protest against economic hardship and bad governance in the country.
ait.live crew in the State capital reports that two leader of the protesters, Shamaki Aliyu Gwadangaji and Mai Gemu who addressed the few persons present, complained about the high cost of living in the country.
“We want Mr. President to act instantaneous to mitigate the hunger in the land”, he pleaded.
However, another group of demonstrators who came out much later in the day, were alleged to be supporters of an opposition political party in the State.
The protesters marched peacefully along some major highways in the metropolis, though with heavy security presence to ensure that the action was not infiltrated by hoodlums.
