President Bola Tinubu has called on the Nigerian Armed Forces to ensure that soldiers are never exposed to scorn or ridicule as they confront insecurity with unmatched military might.
The president gave this charge during the combined passing-out parade for cadets of 71 Regular Course, Direct Short Service Course 28 (Army), and Direct Short Service Course 32 (Air Force), held at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna.
At the historic event, 823 cadets graduated in the largest passing-out parade at the NDA in over 60 years.
The ceremony drew high-ranking military officers, government officials, and dignitaries, marking a significant moment in Nigeria’s defence history.

The Speaker of House of Representatives, Tajuddeen Abbas, represented President Bola Tinubu as the reviewing officer at the ceremony.
One of the key highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the NDA banner to the “Dallet Battalion,” which was recognized for its exceptional discipline and outstanding performance during training.
Awards were presented to several outstanding cadets, followed by a ceremonial transition from a slow to quick march.
President Tinubu emphasized not only the importance of security but also the need to address Nigeria’s ongoing economic challenges.
The president also called on the military to develop a comprehensive policy proposal aimed at supporting the families of soldiers who have lost their lives in service to the nation.
