The presidential Community engagement office has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring every child in Nigeria has access to quality education at both primary and secondary education levels .
The disclosure on the thrust of the initiative by the presidential initiative coordinator for southwest Moremi Ojudu in oyo state during the flag off of the back to school, scholarships and mentorship program is in compliance with the content of the renewed hope agenda of president Bola Tinubu.
The Back to School, Scholarships, Training, Education and Mentorship programme to indigent basic school students initiative is part of the President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda aimed at inspiring growth through education and mentorship.
The initiative which is spare headed by presidential Community Engagement office, Southwest aims at distributing over 50,000 essential educational materials to over 50,000 indigent basic school students in Southwest.
The initiative which kicked off in Eruwa, Ibarapa axis of Oyo state moved to Orire and OgoOluwa primary and secondary schools where stakeholders converged on Community Grammar School, Iwo Ate.
While thanking the President for the efforts, school pupils and their teachers say more needs to be done on infrastructure as well as teaching and learning aids.
The initiative according to the coordinator is expected to reach other southwest states in the coming months.
