Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has sworn in 27 new Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service, stressing the urgent need for increased efficiency and productivity to drive meaningful reforms in the public sector.
The swearing in of the 27 Permanent Secretaries aims to enhance service delivery and better meet the needs of the state’s population.
The civil service in Cross River State has undergone significant changes, particularly regarding its workforce size and recruitment practices.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, the State Governor urged the new Permanent Secretaries to bring innovative ideas into their roles as financial overseers and administrative heads of their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
Speaking on behalf of all the newly sworn in Permanent Secretaries, Dr. Jonah Offor pledged their commitment to working diligently for the progress of the state.
The new appointees are expected to play crucial roles in driving progress and improving public service delivery across Cross River State.
