Students of Niger State in higher institutions have given a six-day ultimatum to the state government to address their plights or face mass protest.
The President of the National Association of Niger State Students, NANISS, Ahmad Tatiko, gave the ultimatum, in a press statement, in Minna, the Niger State capital.

Their demands, according to the statement include the immediate release of the July internal result of the National Examinations Council, NECO, and the payment of the ten-month students’ bursary award that has been withheld.
The statement added that thousands of students of Niger State have lost the opportunity to further their education, due to the continued withholding of their results, as the state government is owing the examination body.
Ahmad Tatiko stressed that government must give education the desired attention, hence the need to allocate the required resources to the critical sector.
