KADUNA

In line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Housing Agenda, the Federal Government has handed over 100 newly built houses to widows in Kaduna State.

The initiative is part of efforts to provide affordable housing and restore dignity to vulnerable Nigerians.

It is also part of the Federal Government’s social housing intervention programme implemented by the Family Homes Fund, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, and other agencies.

The initiative focuses on providing eco-friendly, climate-smart and decent accommodation for the vulnerable and low-income earners across the country.

Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu, described the project as a key component of the Renewed Hope Housing Scheme.

He explained that the Federal Government is mapping out the specific housing needs of all 8,809 wards nationwide to deliver targeted housing solutions that uplift communities and improve lives.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State commended the Federal Government and its partners for the initiative.

He noted that access to decent housing restores dignity, strengthens families, and fosters peace and social inclusion across communities.

For beneficiaries like Ruth Dauda, the day marked the beginning of a new chapter a chance to live with dignity, comfort, and renewed hope after years of hardship.

It is expected that the new homes will not only provide shelter but also empower widows to rebuild their lives in a safe, supportive environment.
