Authorities in Berlin have approved the second phase of the German Collaboration Project, KVP to strengthen Chambers of Commerce in Nigeria to play a leading role in youth skill acquisition.
Head of Competence Centre Africa for the Giessen-Friedberg Chambers of Commerce of Germany, Kristen Albrecht, made this known during a meeting with the leadership of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, NACCIMA in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
This delegation from the German Chamber of Commerce is in Nigeria to boost the capacities of NACCIMA, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, and Ogun Chamber of Commerce to set up innovation hubs and scale up youth empowerment.
Speaking during the meeting, Albercht said that, the second phase of fostering German-Nigerian economic ties would feature two trade missions each between Nigeria and Germany to facilitate investments through AI-facilitated business matching.

NACCIMA President, Jani Ibrahim extolled the organisation’s relationship with the German Chamber of Commerce adding that they are now consolidating plans for a Dual Vocational Training programme to enable Nigerians who wish to work abroad to do so legally.
The German delegation also announced the upcoming B2B conference tagged “The World Meets in Giessen”, to hold on the 8th and 10th June, 2026 in Germany, as a platform for Nigeria’s SMEs to get International exposure as well as attract technology and investment to drive development.
