Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has presented sixty-five utility vehicles to traditional rulers across the state, describing the gesture as part of his administration’s effort to strengthen grassroots governance and community engagement.

The presentation took place at Government House in Asaba.
Governor Oborevwori said the event marked a significant moment for his administration, noting that traditional rulers play a vital role in promoting peace, security, and development at the community level.

He explained that the vehicles—sixty Toyota Prado SUVs and five Toyota Land Cruisers—were provided to enhance the mobility of traditional rulers, many of whom operate in remote and challenging terrains.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, equity, and justice, stressing that partnership with traditional institutions remains central to achieving sustainable development in Delta State.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), thanked the governor and pledged the continued support of the traditional institution to the state government.
