The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting community policing initiatives as part of efforts to strengthen intelligence gathering and improve security across the country.
He gave the assurance at the inauguration of 166 Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) volunteers in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Representing the Minister of Defence, Senior Special Adviser on Security Matters, Musa Likita, said the Federal Government will continue to support community-based security initiatives that enhance intelligence gathering and early warning mechanisms.

The Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area, Larai Sylvia, commended Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his sustained support in addressing insecurity, noting that the initiative would also help curb drug abuse and other criminal activities among youths.
The Kaduna State Director of the Department of State Services, DSS, Hakeem Abiola, assured that the Service would continue to work closely with the CJTF, stressing that effective intelligence sharing remains critical to improving security in the state and the country at large.
