Kaduna State Government says it will sustain efforts at reforming the education sector to improve access and quality.
State Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, stated this at Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria, where about 70 courses have recently received accreditation from regulatory bodies.
The Polytechnic is emerging as a major beneficiary of ongoing education reforms in Kaduna State.
Recent accreditation by relevant regulatory agencies has expanded the institution’s academic offerings, including new programmes in Law, Artificial Intelligence, the National Certificate in Education, and Supply and Procurement.
Rector of the Polytechnic, Muhammad Abdullahi says the institution now runs about 70 fully accredited courses, reflecting significant academic expansion.
The Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuous investment in education under Governor Uba Sani’s administration.
He noted that strengthening tertiary institutions is key to equipping youths with relevant skills and enhancing employment opportunities.
Students of the institution have also commended the government’s intervention, particularly the renovation of hostel facilities, which they say has improved their welfare and learning environment.
The Kaduna State Government said the expansion of accredited programmes and improved infrastructure signals a positive transformation in the state’s education sector.
