Plateau State Government has approved the removal of some political appointees from office in a move aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, says Governor Caleb Mutfwang approved the decision as part of efforts to reposition government for greater efficiency and alignment with its strategic priorities.
Those affected include Special Adviser on Strategic Communication, Timothy Golu; Liaison Officer for Jos South, Gwottson Fom; Liaison Officers for Langtang North, Nanbol Rimvyat and Nannim J. Langyi; Liaison Officer for Qua’an Pan North, Paul N. Datugum; Liaison Officer for Langtang South, Nimchak Rims.

The statement also announced the suspension of the Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission, Johnbull Shekarau, over alleged conduct inconsistent with administrative standards. The matter is currently under review.
All affected officials have been directed to handover government property and official documents in their possession with immediate effect.
The government, while appreciating their contributions, wished them success in their future endeavours.
