Security was heightened across Jos, the Plateau State capital, as Muslims from all walks of life trooped to various Eid prayer grounds to mark the Sallah celebration.
At the Fibre Mosque, Muslim faithful—young and old—gathered in large numbers to offer prayers marking the end of the Ramadan fast.
In his sermon, the Chief Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Khaled Aliyu, emphasized the importance of sustaining acts of worship beyond Ramadan.
He urged Muslims to uphold the values of discipline, sacrifice, and devotion learned during the fasting period.

Sheikh Aliyu also called on leaders at all levels to govern with the fear of God, while addressing the prevailing security challenges in the country.
The celebration remained largely peaceful across the city, with security agencies strategically deployed to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
