President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday for a three-nation official visit covering France, Kenya, and Rwanda.
The President’s first stop will be in France before proceeding to Nairobi, Kenya, to participate in the Africa-France Summit scheduled to hold next week.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Friday said the summit will be co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, focusing on energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, restructuring of global financing architecture, and climate action.
According to the statement, President Tinubu’s participation from May 11 to May 12 underscores Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with African countries and France.
The summit, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” will bring together African leaders and their French counterparts to deliberate on economic transformation, climate resilience, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, technological advancement, and peace-building.

After the Kenya engagement, President Tinubu will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum scheduled for May 14 to 15.
The forum, themed “Scale or Fail,” is expected to attract over 2,000 business leaders, investors, and policymakers, focusing on accelerating economic transformation through regional integration and cross-border investments.
While at both summits, the President is expected to present Nigeria’s ongoing reforms aimed at positioning the country as a leading investment destination, as well as hold high-level meetings with global and African business leaders.
President Tinubu will be accompanied by some ministers and senior aides and is expected back in the country at the conclusion of the Rwanda summit.
