Operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, have disrupted a major logistics network allegedly supplying insurgents operating within the Lake Chad corridor.
Security sources disclosed that the DSS, working alongside Forest Guards, intercepted a large consignment of medical supplies on Friday, June 5, during an operation in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.
The operation also led to the arrest of three suspected logistics couriers identified as Pandi Adam Konto, 25, Ali Bura Modu, 27, and Tijjani Abubakar Aisami, 24.
According to security sources, the suspects were intercepted at Mainok village while allegedly transporting medical supplies and consumables intended for fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP.
Items recovered during the operation include large quantities of pain relief drugs, anti-malaria injections, antibiotics, herbal medications, other pharmaceutical products, and basic consumables.

Sources said the consignment was allegedly meant to replenish insurgent fighters said to have suffered heavy casualties and operational setbacks following recent intelligence-led offensives involving Nigerian security forces and US-AFRICOM support operations.
The suspects and recovered materials are currently in DSS custody for forensic examination as investigators intensify efforts to uncover the wider supply network and identify other collaborators still at large.
Security sources described the interception as part of an intensified campaign targeting insurgent logistics channels, particularly the movement of medical supplies into terrorist enclaves across the North-East.
