The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, and the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqha Rabe Darma, have met with President Bola Tinubu over the management and disposal of houses seized by the anti-graft agency across the country.
The meeting, held at the State House, Abuja, on Tuesday, focused on ensuring that the management and disposal of the seized properties are carried out in line with the principles of transparency and accountability.
The engagement between the EFCC Chairman and the Housing Minister with the President is coming amid efforts by the Federal Government to strengthen accountability in the handling of assets recovered through anti-corruption operations.
The seized houses, located in various parts of the country, form part of properties recovered in connection with financial crimes and other illicit activities.
President Tinubu’s administration has repeatedly emphasised the need for accountability in the management of government assets and recovered proceeds of crime.
