The Nasarawa State Government has unveiled new agricultural policies aimed at strengthening food security, attracting investment and boosting economic growth.
Governor Abdullahi Sule says effective implementation will be critical to achieving the state’s agricultural goals.
He spoke during the inauguration of the Nasarawa State Council on Agriculture and the launch of the new policies.
The event featured the launch of the State Agriculture and Food System Policy and the State Agriculture Investment Plan, as well as the unveiling of the Nasarawa State Agriculture Intelligence Dashboard.
Governor Sule stressed the need to move from policy to implementation to unlock the sector’s potential.
Representing the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, Olawunmi Olajide commended the state government’s efforts in the agricultural sector.
Agriculture experts and development partners also expressed support for the initiatives, saying effective implementation could boost productivity, attract investment and strengthen food security.
They pledged continued support for the state’s agricultural development.
