Motorists in Kano State, North-West Nigeria now spend several hours at fuel stations in efforts to purchase the Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, popularly known as petrol, which has now become a scarce commodity.
Some of them blame the development on the operators of the fuel stations who they alleged created what they describe as artificial scarcity.
Most motorists say the situation has brought untold hardship upon them, and it has led to an increase in transportation fare.
They also expressed worries that the government is yet to take action on the worsening fuel scarcity that has persisted in the past weeks.
