The Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria says it is making efforts to reposition health records in the country to effectively provide essential data for clinical audits and assessing health care service delivery patterns.
Registrar of the board, Babagana Mustapha who said this while addressing newsmen in Abuja also said the regulatory body had in the last one year engaged in activities aimed at giving health record officers their rightful place among other health care professionals.

Mustapha said the board has developed software that will acquaint health information management professionals with knowledge of E-records to improve their performance.
Established by Decree 39 of 1989, the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria is mandated to regulate the practice of medical records management in Nigeria.
