Christians in Zamfara State have joined their counterparts Worldwide to mark the crossover night to year 2023 with messages of hope, peace, prosperity and an end to affliction.
AIT correspondent went round to Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Hayin Buba, Gusau and Living Faith Church where he observed that Christians thronged to the churches to observe the crossover night to usher in the new year.
The congregants took time to praise and thank God for His divine mercy for preserving their lives to witness the new year, 2023 in good health and for helping them overcome the many challenges faced in the outgoing year.
They prayed God to make the new year, a better year, a year of abundance, peace, security, and financial turn around for them.
The Zonal Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Peace Assembly, Gusau, Pastor Emmanuel Adepoju in his message to Nigerians, said the year 2023 will be a year of opportunities, prosperity, peace, joy and abundant blessings to Nigerians and for them to experience these blessings they must believe in the word of God.

He urged Nigerians to return to God as their first love and commit to Him, saying that only by doing so they can harness the blessings of God that are in store for them.
An Associate Pastor at the Living Faith Church, Gusau, Pastor Pius Emmanuel observed that the outgoing year, 2022 was most challenging for Nigerians.
He, however, believes that one of the solutions to the challenges being faced in the country is for Nigerians to draw closer to God who is the only one that is capable of liberating them from the myriad of current challenges.
In Gusau the police banned fireworks, fire crackers and knock outs which the youths usually engage to demonstrate their excitement of witnessing another brand new year due to the insecurity in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
