The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Nasarawa State Chapter, Bishop Joseph Masin who was abducted by gunmen on Friday at his residence in Lafia has regained freedom.
The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police Bola Longe confirmed his release in a telephone interview with AIT in Lafia the state capital on Sunday.
Longe said 10 suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnap; adding that investigation was on to arrest others involved in the crime.
Longe however denied ransom was paid to secure the release of the CAN chairman.

He said all the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.
The son of the released CAN Chairman, Sam Joseph , also confirmed to AIT that his father has regained freedom and takenson for medical examination in an undisclosed hospital.
The kidnappers had demanded N20m ransom for the release of the CAN Chairman.
