The abductors of over 83 persons from Wanzamai Village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State are demanding two “Boko Haram motorcycles”, as part of the conditions to free the abductees.

The abductors gave the conditions for ransom when they made available a list of the abductees and contacted the families of their victims on Sunday evening, through a telephone call.

They had earlier demanded twenty thousand Naira from each of the over eighty-three victims.

One of the residents of the troubled community told ait.live via telephone that the residents are still negotiating with the abductors.

The resident also disclosed that the abductors want the troops deployed to protect the troubled community to be removed.

The locals are insisting that over 83 persons were abducted from the community, contrary to a police report that nine persons who are women and children, were whisked away by the suspected terrorists.

Residents of the community are appealing to the security agencies to help rescue the victims unhurt.

They said since the incident happened, they have not been sleeping with their two eyes closed, and that the situation has also put some under traumatic conditions.
