Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Lanre Ogunlowo, and other top government officials in the state have confirmed that the death of thirty cows in the Osara, Obantoko areas in Odeda Local Government area of the State on Saturday died from thunder strike arising from Saturday’s downpour.
The commissioner of police who disclosed this while speaking with Africa Independent Television (AIT) on Sunday described the incident as unfortunate calling on residents within the communities to remain calm.
Meanwhile, Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide, Chairman, Odeda Local Government, Afolashade Adeyemo, have advised herders in the communities against selling the dead cows in the markets, declaring that the State government is already looking into the matter.
