Medical Doctors in Abia State, South East Nigeria have given the authorities forty-eight hours to rescue their abducted colleague or they’ll down tools.
Uwadinachi Iweha who works at a private facility was reportedly kidnapped in front of his house in the Umuahia metropolis last Sunday, and his abductors are yet to free him.
The Doctors under the aegis of Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Friday went on a protest to the Government House, Umuahia, demanding that their colleague be freed unhurt.

The State Chairman of NMA, Chimezie Okwuonu told top government officials that the kidnap incident is traumatic, dehumanizing and has instilled fear within the medical community, making it difficult for health workers to attend to their duties.
The Chief of Staff to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Okey Ahiwe assured the aggrieved medical doctors that government and the security agents will not rest until their kidnapped colleague is released.
