The Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has sworn- in sixteen new Commissioners to serve in the State Executive Council.
Speaking after the administering of the oath of office on the political appointees, Governor Otti charged them to bring their wealth of experience in the discharge of their duties.
The Governor while reminding them that the appointment is not an opportunity to enrich themselves, warned that he has zero tolerance for corruption.
The newly sworn-in Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ikechukwu Uwanna on behalf of his colleagues, assured that they will do their best in the discharge of their duties.

The gender distribution of the appointees show that, out of the sixteen Commissioners, only three are women, while thirteen are men.
AIT Correspondent in Umuahia reports that three other Commissioner nominees are yet to be screened and cleared by the State House of Assembly.
