Abia Governor-elect inaugurates Transition Committee of non-partisan Technocrats

The Abia State Governor-elect, Alex Otti says the expectations of the people from his administration in the State, is high.

Otti was speaking while inaugurating the Chairman and members of his Transition Committee in Aba, the commercial nerve center of the State.

The Governor-elect observed that the composition of members of the committee is non-partisan as greater numbers are technocrats who are not members of his Labour Party.

Otti while challenging the committee members on the enormity of work to be done in the state, however assures that he will not fail the expectations of the people.

Chairman of the Committee, Victor Onyemkpa and members who spoke including Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala assured that they will support the Governor-elect.

AIT.live reports that the Alex Otii Transition Committee is made up of renowned global personalities including former Director-General of Nigeria’s Security and Exchange Commission, SEC who has served as Vice President of the World Bank, Arunma Oteh, as well as a Nigerian-born inventor who helped Apple design a semiconductor for the iPhone, Ndubisi Ekekwe.

Also on the Transition Committee list is the immediate past Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority, Uche Orji among others.
