The Abia State Police command has called on Muslims in the State and the general public to be vigilant and security-conscious as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.
The Command urges the public to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station or use the emergency hotline, assuring them that their cooperation and vigilance will be crucial in maintaining a safe and peaceful environment.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State command, Maureen Chinaka said operatives have been diligently working to provide adequate security measures to guarantee everyone’s safety before, during, and after the celebration.
In a Press statement, the spokesperson said the command has enhanced its presence in key areas in the sytate and will be closely monitoring public gatherings and events to maintain peace and order.
“The Abia State Police Command extends its warm wishes to all Muslims on the occasion as we mark this important festival”.
The statement reaffirmed the commitment of the State Police Command to the safety and security of all residents and visitors in Abia State.
