In Umuahia, Abia State, South East Nigeria, residents are expressing displeasure on the recent increase in fuel pump price in Nigeria.
Some of the people observed that while other countries are instituting programs to cushion the effects of the COVID 19 Pandemic, the pump price of petrol is being increased in the country.
While saying that it is a very wrong time to increase fuel pump prices in the country, the residents call on the Federal government to ensure the immediate reversal of the decision.

On the electricity tariff increase at this time, Abia State residents believe that it will be a disservice to citizens.
For them, government should first ensure steady power supply in the country, before proposing for increase in tariff.
Many are of the opinion that the current increases in the pump price of petrol and electricity tariff should be reversed by the authorities, immediately.
