The Abia State Road Maintenance Agency, ABROMA, says it will sustain its Community Development Project aimed at establishing an efficient road system in rural communities across the state.
The General Manager of the Agency, Okochi Okali, in an interview with ait.live in Umuahia, the state capital, explained that the programme will ensure that rural roads are safe and in usable condition to boost productivity at the grassroots.
While noting that the Agency had executed road maintenance operations in some communities in the Obingwa, Umuahia South, Bende, Ohafia, Umunneochi, and Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Areas, Okali gave the assurance that the Agency will deliver on its mandate of prolonging the life span of roads in the state through routine and proactive maintenance operations.

The Roads Maintenance Agency boss who is advocating for a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in the roads sector said that ABROMA is open to partnership with the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
