Abia State Governor assures Federal Fire Service of his administration’s support

The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has assured the Federal Fire Service of the support of his administration to enable them perform their duties and achieve the mandate given to them.

Governor Ikpeazu who gave the assurance during the commissioning of a Water Tender Fire Fighting Truck donated to the State Government by the Federal Government at the Government House, Umuahia noted that the Truck will go a long way in the control of fire outbreaks in the State and beyond.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Ude Oko Chukwu thanked the Federal Fire Service for their commitment in fighting fire outbreaks and expressed confidence in the ability of the State Command to put the equipment into good use.

Assistant Controller General in charge of Zone J Command Abia/Imo, Achi Ijeoma, thanked the Federal Government for approving the donation of the Water Tender Fire Fighting Truck for the State, pointing out that the Command has visited Umuahia, Aba, and Ohafia for an on the spot accessment.

With this donation, it is expected that the state fire service will have no reason to fail in their duties of saving lives and property during fire outbreaks.
