Abia State Governor, commissions Cottage Hospital in Nkporo Community, Ohafia LGA

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has commissioned a Cottage Hospital in the Nkporo community, Ohafia Local Government area to improve the health services in the area.

The health facility which boasts of a fully equipped maternity unit is expected to take care of the treatment of mothers and children in the agrarian community.

Other sophisticated medical facilities at the hospital include Ultra-Sound equipment, Radiate Wormer for newborn babes, Incubators, a fully equipped Theater that can undertake Orthopedic Surgery, a laboratory, and a solar-powered system to ensure 24 hours power supply.

Governor Ikpeazu told elated residents that he feels fulfilled, that the hospital project which was conceptualized by his administration, has come to fruition.

The Abia State Governor believes that the cottage hospital will adequately serve the health needs of the most vulnerable members of society, including the aged, women, and children.

The Governor said his administration had deployed resources and strategies to procure world-class equipment and secure the services of expert personnel that will man the equipment for the benefits of members of the community and beyond.
