The Abia State Government says it is poised to restore the standard and quality of education in all public and private schools in the State.

State Commissioner for Education, Kanelechi Nwangwa who stated this while interacting with newsmen in his office, insists that there is no going back on the closure of sub-standard schools in the State.

Nwangwa stated that government will ensure that such schools remain closed until proper approval is given by the state government while total supervision of other approved schools will be regular.
