Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu says the State Government is to build a fire service station in each of the three senatorial zones of the State.
Ikpeazu made this known during a visit to commiserate with victims of a recent fire incident at the Umuchieze Cattle Market in Umunneochi Local Government Council of the State.

The Governor said that this was part of the State Government’s efforts to reduce the spate of fire outbreaks to the barest minimum, as well as ultimately secure lives and property.
Ikpeazu further directived that the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency, ASEPA zonal office, should be established in Umuchieze Cattle Market.
